School updates on COVID 19 resume classes

Following up for this week is international schools would gradually resume classes. It ranges from upper-level students following by younger level of students. With being back to school, some international schools take different procedures and change their ways of teaching classes. For example, they change from teaching as group discussion to let students sit face back in rows in classes. Students would sit in separate seats to keep the distance from pupils next to them.  Some of the school libraries and sports facilities would remain closed to minimize the social distance of students.

Students are required to use rubbing alcohol for their hands and measure temperatures before entering campus, and students are required to wear masks during their time on campus. Schools would sanitize things around on campus regularly, as close to sanitize every hour. In some international schools, school faculties and teachers are required to bring their own food and drinks for lunch, as schools stop selling food in the food court in the remaining term.

During these periods, the Education Bureau would monitor the situations after resuming classes and if there are any improper arrangement, they will contact the schools to correct and follow up situations.

Within the following week, there will be more students getting back to school and it is important for all of us to follow the guideline for social distancing, wear masks, and necessary procedures to stay sanitary.
